Here are 3 things you can do to prevent this for yourself or people you know!
1. Always stay cautious
Especially in unfamiliar environments it’s crucial to stay cautious. Try to always stay with someone you know, to decrease your risk of something happening.
2. If a stranger offers you candy or any treats, say no!
3. Always make sure someone you trust has your location at all times!

2. Keep online friendships in the virtual world.
Meeting online friends face to face can actually carry a lot of risks because it’s so easy for people to pretend to be something they’re not.
3. Talk with your guardians/trusted adults
If you’re ever unsure of what to do, or worried something may not be safe, ask an adult! They likely will be able to help you and give you guidance regarding the matter.
